LashLoving♥ | L’Oréal Volume Million Lashes

When I first started a blog I had hoped to do lots of beauty reviews but so far haven't been able to do one! With my final deadline looming I thought why not procrastinate and do a beauty blog instead? 


So I thought I would start with something easy and talk about my favourite mascara at the moment which is L’Oréal Volume Million Lashes in Extra Black. Now I am not really sure what the differences is between normal and extra black apart from the packaging (normal is an all gold colour).



When I first used this mascara I didn't think it was anything special as I found it quite wet and hard to manage, however once I discovered the correct technique to apply it, it produced amazing results. My eyelashes are naturally quite long but, like my hair, lack volume and thickness. This mascara is perfect for creating fuller looking lashes.



 I'd recommend to apply 2-3 coats allowing time for the mascara to start drying between coats. This makes it more easy to manage and to prevent a clumpy look. The wand of this particular brush is excellent at preventing clumps due to its comb like structure, and  if you work out how to manoeuvre it through the eyelashes so that it brushes them you can end up with perfect(ish) looking lashes. 

I don't know how good this mascara is for people with short eyelashes as I personally have long ones but if you do have short eyelashes then applying a coat of a lengthening mascara and then following with this mascara for volume may work better?

I'd definitely recommend this mascara, with a retail price of £10.99, which I feel is extremely good value for money considering the quality of this product. Also both Superdrug and Boots are currently doing a 3 for 2 promotion across selected L'Oreal products including this mascara!
