Kimono? KimoYES

So I feel totally out of synch after being away from a laptop and any form of internet for a whole week! I've just spent the last seven days basking in the glorious 40 degree heat in Sharm El-Sheikh! Before travelling I had started a blog post but with all the stresses of travelling I never finished them and now they seem less relevant. There will be a few travel related blog posts coming up but I thought I would ease myself back into blogging with a simple post in sharing my new found love for Kimonos!

As a teenager I always liked wearing tighter, skimpier clothes (much to my mothers despair) as I was fortunate enough to have a slim figure that now I wish I had appreciated more. However due to my increasing love for food, the unfortunate slowing down of my metabolism and the stressful year I have had as  a third year student that has resulted in the abundance of fast food consumption, this summer my figure has been at its worst and my self esteem is at the lowest. By no means do I class myself as fat but I do need to shape up and I am determined to do so.

But in the mean while we are now smack bang in the middle of summer which means short shorts, crop tops and bikinis, all things I love but no longer feel comfortable to wear. That was until I realised the beauty of kimonos! So far I only have three but I will definitely will be purchasing more! Here is a little look book of the different kimonos I wore!

 | kimono - Boohoo |
| hat -Avon | necklace - Accessorize | swimsuit - Debenhams |

Unfortunately I didn't get a full length picture of me wearing this on holiday with a bikini but below you can see me wearing it in Brighton on a separate occasion I never got round to blogging about. I love the colours of this kimono and the silky feel it has which makes in light comfortable wear no matter how hot the weather is!
necklace - Pandora | top - Primark | watch - Michael Kors | shorts - Forever 21| sandals - Primark |

This kimono is more versatile being black and chiffon meaning that it can be both a modest summery addition or to help an a dress up an outfit for the evening

| kimono - Boohoo|
|crop top - Berksha | body chain - Boohoo | skirt - Hollister | shoes - Primark |

My final kimono is specifically designed for beachy wear and I can't imagine wearing it with anything but a bikini but I may have to experiment! it is the cheapest of the three and may be the a good place to start if you want to try kimonos out :)

| hat - a stall in Morocco | sunglasses - Rayban | bikini - primark | flip flops - Havanas |
